◆ Mission Capability · Cross-Supplier

Counter the mine.
End to end, robot first.

A mine-countermeasures and EOD mission is a chain of tasks — wide-area search, buried-target detection, re-acquisition, disposal and rehearsal. SepcoTech scopes the whole chain across suppliers, so the vehicle goes first, the network keeps everyone located, and the diver enters the water last.

The Mission

One mission, several makers — scoped as a single capability.

No single product clears a minefield. Wide-area search, buried-target detection, close identification, acoustic disposal and realistic training each favour a different tool. Buying them piecemeal from four companies leaves the integration — and the accountability — with you. SepcoTech specifies the mission first and assembles the systems around it, from four manufacturers, delivered and supported as one.

Concept of Operations

How an MCM & EOD mission runs

Each phase names the system that does it — and links to that system's page. This is where ‘platform-agnostic’ stops being a slogan.

01

Wide-area search & detection

Man-portable MCM AUVs run side-scan and magnetometer survey lines — solo or in a swarm — to map candidate contacts across a wide area before anyone enters the water.

02

Buried-target detection

Where mines are silted-in or buried, an AUV carrying active electric-sense (ELWAVE) discriminates buried metallic targets that pure sonar can miss.

03

Re-acquisition & identification

A zero-visibility-capable AUV re-acquires each contact and identifies mine from clutter in black water and strong current, close to the seabed.

04

Diver-held search & navigation

When a diver is committed, a handheld sonar-and-navigation console gives detection, precise positioning and acoustic comms — with a deliberately low magnetic signature for influence-mine work.

SystemSONADIVE · RTsys
05

Acoustic firing & disposal

Charges are placed and fired by acoustic command from a surface module — no fragile electric firing lines, divers clear of the blast radius.

SystemSONABLOW · RTsys
06

Training & rehearsal

A recoverable acoustic target rehearses the whole detect-classify-dispose cycle and trains sonar operators, so the crew is ready before the real tasking.

Man-Portable by Design

Two operators. No crane. In the water in minutes.

Every element of this mission set is built to deploy from small craft and austere shorelines — so a team can search, classify and neutralise wherever the threat is, without a dedicated mine-hunter on station.

One Partner, Not Four

How SepcoTech scopes and delivers this as one package

A four-supplier MCM & EOD capability from SepcoTech differs from buying four things from four companies in one respect that matters on contract: a single accountable partner. We take one requirement, run one specification exercise across RTsys, BeeX, Tethys, Hydromea and Seamor, and return one quotation and one delivery schedule.

What you get from one contract

  • One requirement scoped across every supplier
  • One specification and one quotation
  • One delivery schedule and one warranty administrator
  • One export-control conversation, not four (scope confirmed on enquiry)
  • One training programme covering the whole toolset

Why it matters operationally

When a sensor and a vehicle from different makers have to work as one picture, a single accountable partner owns the integration — so the gaps between products are our problem, not yours. Platform-agnostic: we specify against your mission profile, not a single catalogue.

Where It Works

Who runs this mission

NavyTwo combat divers on a clearance task, one carrying a handheld sonar

Navy MCM Squadrons

Route survey, harbour and anchorage search, and Q-route clearance ahead of amphibious operations.

EODNavy diver working a task on the seabed

EOD & Clearance-Diver Units

Locating, identifying and neutralising ordnance with the robot leading and the diver committed only when needed.

Coastal UXO Programmes

Clearing legacy ordnance along shorelines and shallow approaches — the densest UXO problem in European waters.
