An MCM diver works in the worst conditions in the sea: low light, strong current, a target that may be live, and no GPS the moment the head goes under. SONADIVE bundles the three things that keep that diver effective and safe — detection, navigation and communication — into one console small enough to carry by hand, with a magnetic signature low enough to work right up against magnetic-influence mines.
See the target before you touch it
SONADIVE integrates a BlueView multibeam imaging sonar (450 kHz, with 900/2250 kHz options) behind a 12-inch backlit display tuned for readability in turbid, low-light water. The diver acquires a contact on sonar at stand-off range, then closes in and confirms it — classifying mine from clutter without guesswork.
The whole console is engineered for the lowest magnetic signature on the market, so the diver can work close to magnetic-influence ordnance that would trigger on conventional kit.
Always know where you are — and where the mine is
A fused GPS / INS / DVL (1200 kHz) navigation suite keeps the diver located even after the last surface fix is lost beneath the waterline. Search patterns are run accurately, contacts are pinned to a precise position, and the diver can return to a marked target on demand.
Positions are not just held — they are shared, so every diver, vehicle and the surface supervisor see the same picture of the seabed and each other.
Text, position and navigation data — through the water
SONADIVE carries real-time acoustic messaging: divers exchange text, share positions and pass navigation data without surfacing or breaking cover. Two devices stay linked over 2.2 km; with RTsys relay beacons the link extends to around 5 km.
That turns a set of isolated divers into one coordinated MCM team — and lets the surface stay covertly in the loop the whole time.

One node in a wider MCM team
SONADIVE is not a stand-alone tool — it is a teaming node. It works with COMET-MCM AUVs, the Surface Communication Module and positioning beacons, all linked by underwater acoustics, so the diver inherits the survey work the vehicles did first and stays located by the wider team.
