The seabed is contested. Tethered platforms can't scale.
Mines, cut cables and tampered infrastructure demand persistent eyes on the seabed — but an ROV needs a tether, a crane and a pilot for every vehicle, and that tether snags, drags and radiates a signature. BeeX takes a different path: a hovering, fully autonomous vehicle that holds station like an ROV yet flies untethered like an AUV — hand-launched from any boat, supervised many-to-one, reported through one cloud portal.

The HAUV on a live mission

Send a swarm, not a single vehicle.
Because no BeeX vehicle needs its own tether or pilot, a single operator can supervise many at once. On BeeX's roadmap, the concept CASPER drone extends this further — a swarm-capable, expendable platform envisaged to clear wide areas for mine counter-measures and naval security, keeping crewed platforms and divers out of the threat zone.
Backed by defence science, proven in the field
BeeX states it has partnered with Singapore's Ministry of Defence, through the Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA), on a multi-million-dollar defence contract to acquire and co-develop HAUVs. It closed a US$7.7M Series A (led by Monk's Hill Ventures) in June 2026, operates from Singapore, London and Germany, and integrates a European MCM sensor (ELWAVE) and a subsea manipulator (Reach Robotics).
Per DSTA's announcement of 16 October 2025 and BeeX, reported by Asia Pacific Defence Reporter; exact contract value and quantities are not publicly disclosed.
