OZ Series — deep-clean by ozone

When you need to reset a space rather than maintain it, the OZ Series floods it with UV-C-produced ozone — sanitising air and surfaces up to 99.84% within the hour, eliminating mould, bacteria, viruses and the most stubborn odours, with no chemicals and no filters. Three sizes — OZ1000, OZ1000T (timer) and OZ2000 — for everything from a provision store to a large hold or waste compartment.

99.9%
mould & fungi eliminated
125–250 m³
coverage across the three models

option for vessel DC systems (plus 230 V)

A periodic deep-clean, chemical-free

The OZ Series uses UV-C to generate ozone — photolytic oxidation at full strength, where the ozone oxidises (ozonolysis) and reaches into every corner of a closed space — air, surfaces, fabrics, shelving — to destroy mould, fungi, bacteria, viruses, ethylene and odour. It's a treatment, not a permanent fixture: run a cycle in a vacated space (people and animals must not be present), ventilate, and the ozone is gone. Documented in cold-storage use to extend the shelf life of fruit packed afterwards.

  • Sanitises air and surfaces up to 99.84% within an hour
  • Eliminates mould & fungi up to 99.9% — no chemicals, no filters, no NOx
  • Reaches odours other methods can't — smoke, waste, spoilage
  • OZ1000T timer automates an unattended cycle in a closed space
  • 230 V, with a 24 V option for vessel DC systems

Two extra weeks of shelf life on exotic fruit

The OZ Series isn't only a marine tool — it's earning its keep in commercial cold storage ashore.

Exotic fruit kept longer in chilled cold storage with a JIMCO OZ1000

SINBADTECH Ltd — exotic-fruit importer

A European exotic-fruit importer recorded fruit lasting up to two weeks longer using an OZ1000. Their method is simple and repeatable, and shows exactly how an ozone unit is used safely:

  • Wash the fruit and store it chilled at 2–5 °C
  • Run the OZ1000 for roughly 2–3 hours in the closed, vacated store
  • Vent the space for at least 30 minutes before anyone re-enters

Where ozone earns its keep

Use the OZ Series for spaces you can vacate and reset — not continuous occupied use.

Empty provision store deep-clean

Store deep-clean

Reset an emptied provision or chill store between loads — kill mould and residual ethylene before restocking.

JIMCO OZ1000 ozone sanitiser for waste and garbage rooms

Waste & garbage rooms

Knock out the odour and microbial load in refuse and garbage compartments that nothing else shifts.

Surface sanitising

Odour remediation

Clear smoke, spoilage and lingering smells from cabins, stores and spaces after an incident.

UV-C ozone generation

Periodic disinfection

Scheduled deep sanitising of spaces between voyages or occupancy — air and surfaces in one cycle.

OZ Series — FAQ

Can I run it while the space is occupied?
No. The OZ Series generates ozone, so people and animals must not be present during a cycle. Vacate and close the space, run the cycle (use the OZ1000T's timer to automate it), then ventilate before re-entry. For continuous occupied use, choose the MAC500s.
OZ1000 vs OZ1000T vs OZ2000 — which do I need?
By space size: OZ1000/OZ1000T cover up to 125 m³, the twin-lamp OZ2000 up to 250 m³. Choose the OZ1000T if you want a built-in timer for unattended cycles. All three offer a 24 V option.
Does it leave any residue?
No. Ozone reverts to ordinary oxygen after the cycle — there are no chemicals, no filters and no NOx. Just ventilate before re-entry.
Can it help with cold-storage shelf life too?
Yes — it's documented in cold-storage use (e.g. treating produce before packing) to reduce mould, bacteria and ethylene and extend shelf life. For continuous in-room preservation while the store is in use, the MAC500s is the right tool; the OZ Series is for periodic deep treatment.
