Fresh Provisions. Clean Air. The Whole Voyage.
A sealed cold room ripens its own cargo: the ethylene that ripening produce gives off builds up and ages the entire store at once — so fruit and vegetables land in the bin halfway through the passage. SepcoTech's Onboard Air & Provisions category brings chemical-free air treatment to the spaces where the crew stores, cooks and lives. No chemicals. No filters. Made in Denmark.

What's actually going wrong on board?
Four complaints that come back from ships again and again — and where each one is answered.
Ethylene removal in the provision cold room breaks the ripening cycle that ages the whole store at once. Crews report roughly a week's extra shelf life, and a visible drop in spoiled goods.
The cold-store case →The MAC500s mounts high on a bulkhead and plugs in — no build-in, no downtime. For a new-build or refit with the deckhead open, the flush-ceiling MAC500c does the same job invisibly.
MAC500 Series →An ozone deep-clean cycle sanitises air and surfaces up to 99.84% within the hour in an empty space — for periodic treatment of stores, refuse rooms and stubborn odours nothing else shifts.
OZ Series →The same contained UV-C runs safely 24/7 in cabins, mess rooms and the ship's hospital, cutting airborne bacteria and viruses where the crew lives and eats.
Where it earns its keep →Provisioning is a cost line, and a welfare line
Every crate of produce that spoils before it is eaten was bought, loaded, refrigerated and then thrown away — and on a long passage there is no restocking it. The same sealed spaces that ruin food also concentrate mould, bacteria and odour in the places the crew cannot avoid: the galley, the mess, the cabins, the hospital. Contained UV-C treats both problems at once, with no chemical stores to carry, no filters to buy and no consumable but a lamp. It is a small, cheap piece of equipment that shows up in the catering budget, in food waste, and in how well a crew eats and stays healthy at sea.
Two technologies, two jobs
Continuous, people-safe treatment of an occupied space — and a periodic deep-clean of an empty one.

Continuous UV-C — MAC500 Series
Runs 24/7 in occupied cold rooms, stores and accommodation. Strips ethylene, cuts bacteria, viruses, mould and odour — no ozone, no NOx, no filters. Wall/shelf or flush-ceiling mounting. Live: JIMCO.

Ozone Deep-Clean — OZ Series
UV-C-produced ozone that sanitises air and surfaces up to 99.84% within the hour, for periodic treatment of empty stores, waste and refuse rooms. Three sizes covering 125–250 m³. Live: JIMCO.
Explore the OZ Series →Ozone safety. OZ-series units produce ozone for deep sanitising — people and animals must not be present in the space during a treatment cycle, and the room should be ventilated before re-entry. The MAC500 Series uses contained UV-C only, produces no ozone, and is safe for continuous use in occupied spaces.

LiveJIMCO — UV-C & Ozone Air Purification
JIMCO's MAC500 Series mounts in a ship's provision cold room and removes the ethylene gas that ripens produce, while cutting airborne bacteria, mould and odour. Crews aboard Mærsk container ships report fruit & vegetables lasting roughly a week longer, with units paying for themselves in saved waste within two voyages. Chemical-free, filter-free, Made in Denmark — supplied and supported by SepcoTech.
- ~1 week longer provision shelf life at sea (up to 14 days in trials)
- 99.9% airborne bacteria & viruses cut within 3 hours; no chemicals, no filters, no NOx
- Documented by the Danish Technological Institute and Analytical Laboratories, Singapore

Send us your room volumes — we'll do the sizing
One unit covers up to 60 m³, so the quote needs one number you already have: the m³ of each space you want treated. Tell us the spaces and we'll come back with the unit count and the right variant per room.
