Surface roughness drives the gain: SEA-SPEED measures <10–16 µm out of dock, against 120–175 µm for conventional antifouling and 70–90 µm for soft silicones — and fuel changes by roughly 1% per 20 µm. On the owner's sportfisher, light fouling self-cleaned within a day of running.
A faster hull is a cleaner hull
Lower hull friction means less power for the same speed — less fuel, fewer emissions, and a better EEXI and annual CII rating. SEA-SPEED delivers the efficiency case and the environmental case at once: zero biocides at the waterline, and thousands of tonnes of CO₂ kept out of the air over the coating's life.
