◆ Sambal™ Suite · Mission Software

Deploy in hours.
Report in minutes.

Sambal™ is the software that runs the whole mission — the autonomy that flies a hovering-AUV without a pilot (OS), the mission-control cockpit the operator drives (UI), and the cloud workspace where fused video, sonar and 3D data become a client-ready inspection report (Portal). One thread from water entry to the report in your inbox — with AI anomaly detection and no manual post-processing.

The Bottleneck

Capturing the data was never the hard part.

A survey ends and the real work begins: hours of footage and sonar to review, defects to find and measure, and a report to assemble by hand before anyone can act. Sambal removes that bottleneck. Data streams off the vehicle into one cloud workspace where AI classifies anomalies, every asset keeps its own inspection history, and a structured report is generated automatically on mission completion — deploy in hours, inspect in days, report in minutes.

One Suite, Three Layers

The Sambal™ Suite

Sambal isn't one app — it's the full stack that takes a mission from autonomy in the water to a report on the desk. Three layers, one continuous data thread.

Layer 01

Sambal OS

The intelligence of the drone

The onboard autonomy — CPU- and GPU-driven — that lets a hovering-AUV think and act for itself, with no pilot on the sticks.

  • Adaptive station-keeping that compensates for wave and current
  • Autonomous target tracking across a fused sensor suite
  • Multi-sensor perception fusion into 3D geo-referenced datasets
  • Integrated failsafes — resilient to loss of comms
Layer 02

Sambal UI

The operator's mission control

A single unified cockpit for planning, flying and watching the mission — with camera, sonar and a live 3D scene side by side, and abnormalities flagged as they happen.

  • Three autonomy modes: Path, Lawnmower & Encirclement
  • Live telemetry, battery and survey progress from any browser
  • Real-time snapshots of anomalies while the drone is still diving
  • Runs on shore or afloat — no specialist workstation
Layer 03

Sambal Portal

The cloud record & report

The cloud workspace that hosts post-mission insight — where fused data becomes a defensible, shareable inspection record for the whole team.

  • Geo-referenced, time-stamped recordings, per asset
  • Class-ready reports in PDF, Excel & PowerPoint
  • AI-flagged anomalies with filtering
  • Digital measurement tools to centimetre-level precision
See It Work

A full mission, inside one screen

Watch the Sambal UI drive a live inspection — forward-looking sonar, streaming camera and a 3D geo-referenced scene building in real time as the HAUV flies the asset autonomously.

Autonomy Modes

Three ways to fly the survey — no pilot

In the Sambal UI the operator sets the objective, not the joystick. Pick a mode, mark the area or the target, and the OS flies it — holding altitude, standoff and heading through wave and current.

Path

Path

The vehicle follows an irregular, operator-defined route, adjusting altitude and positioning as the seabed and structure change — ideal for tracing pipelines, cables and complex geometry.

Lawnmower

Lawnmower

Systematic back-and-forth passes at a consistent turning radius give full, gap-free coverage of an area — the workhorse pattern for seabed survey and mine-search.

Encirclement

Encirclement

The drone orbits a detected object at a fixed standoff distance, capturing it from every angle — for classifying a contact or building a 360° record of a single asset.

What Sambal Does

Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

One browser-based workspace from live mission to client-ready report.

Automated Reports

Structured inspection outputs generated automatically on mission completion — ready for delivery in PDF without manual post-processing.

AI Anomaly Detection

Machine learning identifies and classifies defects, with depth, angle and geo-reference data attached to every contact for review.

Live Mission Monitoring

Track telemetry, battery, standoff and survey progress in real time from any browser — on shore or afloat — with abnormalities snapshotted while the drone is still diving.

Asset History

A complete inspection record per asset, trackable by date, depth and mission type — so change over time is visible at a glance.

Centimetre Measurement

Digital measurement tools work directly on the geo-referenced record, sizing defects and features to centimetre-level precision across repeat missions.

Collaborative Access

Role-based dashboards that can be shared with engineering teams and stakeholders — the right view for each user.

One Dive, Every Layer

What a single Sambal dive brings back

No separate mobilisations for video, sonar and CP. One vehicle, one pass — every data type fused to the same geo-reference in the Portal.

4K Visual Footage

Close Visual Inspection

High-resolution imagery of welds, coatings, anodes and marine growth, streamed live and stored against position.

Forward-Looking Sonar

Navigation & Search

Real-time acoustic maps for obstacle avoidance and contact detection, even in zero-visibility water.

3D Multibeam Echosounder

Point-Cloud Model

Dense 3D point-cloud visualisations of the seabed and structure, built up as the vehicle flies.

Cathodic Protection

Corrosion Data

CP field and anode-depletion readings captured in-line, without a separate diver stab campaign.

Thickness Readings

Integrity

Material thickness measurements collected on the same dive and tied to the inspection record.

Class-Ready Report

The Deliverable

Everything above compiled automatically into PDF, Excel and PowerPoint outputs, ready for class and clients.

Mission Workflow

Deploy. Inspect. Report.

Sambal is the thread that runs through the whole mission — from the vehicle in the water to the report in the inbox.

Deploy

Two crew hand-launch a pre-calibrated HAUV; water entry in under a minute, with live telemetry already streaming into Sambal.

Inspect

The vehicle autonomously captures video, sonar and 3D data across every asset, monitored live in the browser.

Classify

AI anomaly detection finds and classifies defects, attaching depth, angle and geo-reference to each for review.

Report

A structured PDF inspection report is generated automatically — client-ready in minutes, not days.

Sambal · One Workspace

From raw passes to a defensible record

Because data lands in Sambal as it's captured, there's no gap between the dive and the deliverable. Anomalies are classified with measurements attached, every asset keeps a running inspection history, and stakeholders see the same picture through role-based access.

For defence and critical-infrastructure work, that means a fast, repeatable and auditable trail — one workspace behind 700+ deployments and 18,000+ operational hours across Europe and Asia, and behind the threat-detection package proven at the U.S. Navy's ANTX–Coastal Trident exercise.

“10x faster target-to-engage kill-chain, compared to remotely operated vehicles.”

Keeping the Sea Lanes Open

One picture, shared across the team.

Whether it's a mine-search swarm or a single structural inspection, Sambal gives every operator, engineer and decision-maker the same live, classified picture — so action follows survey in minutes, not days.
