See the Leak. Measure It. Report It On the Spot.

SepcoTech supplies the Hertzinno range of handheld acoustic imaging cameras. They turn escaping gas, partial discharge and failing bearings into a picture made of sound, so a crew can find the fault from a safe distance, put a number on it, and walk away with the report already written. Built for the hardest place to inspect: a working LNG or LPG carrier.

Pick the Camera by the Job

Three capability families plus a dedicated gas-carrier solution. Each links through to the models, full specifications and datasheets, ready to drop into your quote.

Three Invisible Faults, One Camera That Makes Them Visible

A gas leak, an arcing connection and a dry bearing share one trait: none of them shows on a walk-round until it is serious. Acoustic imaging surfaces all three.

LiveHA3LX locating a gas leak and quantifying methane concentration on screen

See the leak, then put a number on it

Pressurised gas escaping through a flange, valve gland or seal makes ultrasound the ear cannot hear. The camera maps that sound onto the live image, so the source is obvious even across a deck. The HA3LX then adds a TDLAS laser that quantifies methane in ppm·m, and the software estimates the leak rate, annual cost and carbon mass, on screen, in the field.

  • Detects leaks from as little as 0.0032 L/min at 2.5 m
  • Laser methane sensing to 5 ppm·m, up to 30 m away
  • ATEX intrinsically-safe for cargo decks & manifolds

The on-screen cost and CO₂ figures are indicative estimates the camera derives from user-set inputs (gas price, run-time and emission factor); they are not a guaranteed or independently verified figure.

LiveHertzinno camera locating partial discharge on high-voltage equipment with PRPD analysis

Find arcing in the switchboard before it trips the ship

Partial discharge in high-voltage switchgear and cabling emits a faint ultrasonic signature long before it flashes over. The camera locates it from a safe distance and the on-device PRPD AI classifies the discharge type (corona, surface, floating or particle noise), so you know whether it is a watch item or a work order.

  • AI classifies discharge type, not just presence
  • Inspect energised equipment without opening panels
  • Phase-resolved analysis for condition trending

Acoustic inspection of rotating machinery and pipework

Hear the bearing going, before it takes the machine with it

In a noisy engine room the camera isolates the one sound that has changed. Mechanical mode locates abnormal sources on pumps, compressors and gearboxes and reports condition parameters (kurtosis, crest factor, spectrum variance), so worn bearings, misalignment and poor lubrication are caught while they are still cheap to fix.

  • Pinpoints the faulty component in a wall of noise
  • Condition indicators for trend-based maintenance
  • Cuts unplanned downtime and breakdown cost

Where It Earns Its Place Aboard a Gas Carrier

Three jobs, one handheld: from the cargo deck to the engine room to the switchboard. Each is an inspection a gas carrier already has to do.

More Array, Less Weight, More on the Screen

Hertzinno's third-generation HA3 series leads its class on the specifications that decide a real inspection: the channel count that sets sensitivity, the weight you carry all shift, and how much analysis happens on the device itself.

Hertzinno Acoustic Cameras: Common Questions

New to acoustic imaging? Our guide explains how it works and where each mode is used.

What does SepcoTech supply from Hertzinno?
The Hertzinno range of handheld acoustic imaging cameras: the third-generation HA3, HA3T (acoustic + thermal), HA3TX (ATEX acoustic + thermal) and HA3LX (acoustic + laser methane), plus the HZ-HA-170P, 270P, 171P and 271P series, with configuration advice, training and support from one partner.
Can the camera measure how big a leak is?
Yes. Once a leak is located by sound, the software estimates the leak rate in litres per minute and converts it on screen into an estimated annual cost and carbon mass. The HA3LX adds a TDLAS laser that quantifies methane concentration in ppm·m from up to 30 m away (from a 5 ppm·m detection limit, range to 50,000 ppm·m).
Is it safe to use on an LNG or LPG cargo deck?
The HA3LX and the HZ-HA-170P / 270P are ATEX intrinsically-safe (Ex ib IIC T4 Gb / Ex ib IIIC Db), so they can be used in classified Zone 1 and Zone 2 areas. Exact certification is confirmed per model at quotation.
How is the inspection recorded?
The operator takes a photo, runs one-click on-device analysis, and the camera generates an inspection report on the spot, with voice, text and tag annotations, exported by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or USB-C. Files can also be analysed later on PC or in the cloud.
