Partial Discharge Detection
Partial discharge (PD) refers to small, localized breakdowns within insulation systems that do not create a complete electrical short. These tiny electrical events release high‑frequency electromagnetic energy, ultrasonic signals (typically 20–500 kHz), and chemical byproducts such as ozone. If not detected and corrected early, PD can accelerate insulation deterioration and ultimately lead to serious equipment damage or failure.
Gas Leak Detection
Ultrasonic leak detection works by capturing high‑frequency acoustic energy—typically in the 20–100 kHz range—produced when pressurized gases escape through small openings. As gas rushes through a leak point, turbulence creates distinct ultrasonic signatures; smaller leak paths usually generate higher‑frequency noise. This allows both accurate localization and the ability to estimate leak severity.
Acoustic imaging technology identifies leaks based on pressure‑driven sound alone, meaning detection is independent of the type of gas. This makes the system suitable for compressed air, inert gases, hydrogen, SF₆, natural gas, oxygen, and a wide range of other industrial gases.
HERTZINNO’s acoustic cameras can detect leaks of compressed air, combustible gases, hydrogen, oxygen, and various inert or hazardous gases from long distances—even in complex environments.
In addition, the built‑in leak analysis module can estimate the leakage rate while simultaneously identifying the source. This helps operators better understand potential losses, prioritize maintenance, and improve system efficiency.
Mechanical Abnormal Sound Detection
Rotating machinery—such as motors, gearboxes, pumps, and fans—produces distinctive acoustic signatures when faults occur. Issues like bearing wear, blade imbalance, loose components, or misalignment generate characteristic noise patterns that can be identified early through acoustic analysis.
HERTZINNO’s acoustic camera uses its multi‑microphone array to visualize the sound field in real time. By converting acoustic intensity into a live heat map, the system pinpoints the exact origin of abnormal noise. This greatly reduces troubleshooting time and helps maintenance teams locate faults before they escalate.
