The X3 Ultra keeps everything that made the X3 the core professional Blueye — sub-9 kg, single-operator, 305 m, self-stabilising — and upgrades the two things that decide whether an inspection is usable: the camera and the intelligence behind it. A large 1/1.8" AR0822 sensor captures four times the resolution of FHD — and HDR holds detail across bright reflections and deep shadow in the same frame.
Reveal cracks, corrosion and biofouling invisible at 1080p
4K resolution exposes the fine detail that decides an inspection outcome — hairline cracks, pitting, anode wastage and coating breakdown — even in low light. HDR balances a lit hull face against a shadowed recess in a single shot, and 8× zoom delivers close-up imagery of welds and anodes while the vehicle holds a safe standoff distance. A tiltable camera head reframes targets without moving the ROV.

An Nvidia Jetson Orin NX module processes video onboard — detecting and tracking objects, cleaning up turbid water, and feeding directly into Blueye Cloud's AI-generated inspection reports.
From raw footage to structured inspection data
The edge-AI module runs object detection, tracking and collision-avoidance in real time, and applies turbidity, colour and lens-correction filters before the feed reaches the surface — turning murky or silty water into usable imagery without post-processing. Captured media flows into Blueye Cloud, where AI generates annotations, photo descriptions and draft inspection reports.

Turbidity compensation, colour correction and contrast enhancement are applied live, on the vehicle — so silty harbours, algae blooms and biofouled structures still yield footage an inspector and a class surveyor can rely on. No tuning, no waiting for post-processing: what the pilot sees on the controller is already corrected.
