Keep the hull clean.
Keep the speed.
SepcoTech supplies Seacoat SEA-SPEED to navies, coast guards and maritime-security fleets — a heavy-metal-free, biocide-free foul-release hull coating that keeps a fighting hull glass-smooth. Seacoat states the US Navy has run SEA-SPEED since 2001 on special-operations, patrol and riverine craft. The result: sustained tactical speed, lower fuel burn, longer on-station time and fewer dockings — with nothing toxic released at the waterline.

Biofouling is a readiness problem, not just a paint problem.
A film of slime, weed and barnacle on a fighting hull is not cosmetic — it adds drag, robs top-end speed, burns fuel and forces a craft off-station for cleaning or dry-docking. Traditional biocidal hull paints answer this by leaching copper and biocides into the water, slowly depleting themselves and releasing those toxins into the marine environment. Seacoat takes the opposite route: an inert, non-toxic, biocide-free foul-release surface so smooth that growth struggles to bond — and releases or wipes off when it does. It does not poison growth; in low-use or idle conditions a hull can still foul and must be kept clean. The pay-off is sustained speed, lower fuel burn, more days on station and longer intervals between dockings — with no heavy metals released at the waterline.
Speed is a capability. A dirty hull gives it away.
SEA-SPEED is a hard yet flexible elastomeric coating with extremely low surface energy and a very low coefficient of friction. It is non-depleting — it does not polish or ablate — so the fast, glass-smooth surface it lays down on day one is the same surface years later, not a self-consuming film that roughens between dockings.
- Holds tactical speed and hull efficiency mission after mission
- Foul-release action engages at patrol speeds — Seacoat cites shedding from ~10–12 knots
- Rated by Seacoat for sustained high-speed running on planing craft
- Scrubbable in the water — clean the hull without stripping the coating or releasing biocides

A surface fouling cannot hold
Biocidal paints poison growth; foul-release simply gives it nothing to grip. Four properties do the work.
Smooth
A glass-smooth cure with surface roughness under five microns — far below biocidal hull paints — so water flows with minimal turbulence and drag.
Low-Energy
Extremely low surface energy means slime, weed and barnacle larvae cannot form a strong bond to the hull in the first place.
Self-Shedding
What does settle releases under way or wipes off with a light scrub — over a thousand cleanings without harming the coating.
Non-Depleting
The film does not ablate or leach. No biocides enter the water, and Sea-Speed V10X carries a 10-year warranty.

Made for the aluminium hulls navies and coast guards actually run
SOC boats, riverine craft, RHIBs and fast coast-guard interceptors are overwhelmingly aluminium — and aluminium is where biocidal copper paints do real harm, driving galvanic corrosion. SEA-SPEED is copper- and biocide-free, so it removes that risk at source.
It bonds directly to blasted alloy or over a Seapoxy® barrier, and Seacoat reports the non-permeable silane-siloxane film acts as a dielectric barrier that resists oxidation and electrolysis on aluminium hulls — protecting the substrate while it keeps the hull fast.

Fewer dockings. More days on station.
Because SEA-SPEED does not deplete and tolerates in-water cleaning, hulls hold their performance far longer between maintenance windows. Seacoat contrasts a 10-year coating life with the 12–24 months typical of ablative antifouling. For a fleet, that means less time in dry dock, lower through-life coating cost, and more availability from the same number of platforms.
For coastal patrol and search-and-rescue units, lower drag also stretches range — translating directly into longer on-station time on a single fuel load.
A green hull that is also a faster hull.
SEA-SPEED meets the efficiency case and the environmental case at once: lower drag cuts fuel and emissions, while a heavy-metal-free, biocide-free chemistry keeps the waterline clean. It is a credible answer to tightening biosecurity rules and to the navies driving down their carbon footprint.

SEA-SPEED V 10 X Ultra Clear
The flagship hull coating — a glass-smooth, two-component silane-siloxane foul-release top coat (95% solids, surface roughness <5 µm), offered in Ultra-Clear, Ultra-White and USN Black. A biocide-free alternative to toxic self-polishing and ablative biocidal paints, with reported drag and fuel savings of up to ~10–12% and a 10-year warranty available. It bonds directly to blasted aluminium or over an epoxy barrier — and on alloy hulls Seacoat reports the non-permeable film also guards against oxidation and electrolysis. Scales across ship types and supports EEXI and CII compliance efforts.
Deployed on SOC & riverine craft, patrol boats, coast-guard interceptors, larger naval & support hulls In the form below ↓
ARMOR-SIL R/G
A silane–siloxane foul-release nano-coating for propellers and running gear that cures to an extremely hard, glass-smooth finish (95% solids). Its low-energy, non-stick surface lets marine growth release rather than bond, helping maintain propeller efficiency by cutting friction and drag, and resists abrasion to extend the working life of the gear. Applied over PPV 702 etch primer; 3-year warranty.
Deployed on props, shafts, rudders, trim tabs, stabilisers & sub-sea gear on fast military craft In the form below ↓
SEAPOXY 73
A conventional two-component polyamide epoxy anticorrosive barrier coat (73% solids, VOC 250 g/L) and the standard primer beneath SEA-SPEED V 10 X. An immersion-grade product that protects steel and aluminium substrates and gives the foul-release top coat a sound, fully bonded base.

PPV 702 Etch Primer
The keying primer for ARMOR-SIL R/G on propellers and running gear. It etches and prepares the metal so the nano-coating bonds hard and lasts, completing the running-gear system.
